Barbecued Green Beans in Slow Cooker
Ingredients for barbecued green beans:
- 1 lb(450g) bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups green beans
Cooking Method:
- Cook bacon in nonstick skillet until crisp.
- Break it into pieces.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
- Sate onions in bacon drippings.
- Combine together ketchup,sugar,sauce and salt.
- Stir into bacon and onions.
- Pour mixture over green beans and mix lightly.
- Pour mixture into slow cooker and cook,setting on low for 6-8 hours.
- Barbecued green beans are ready.Serve them hot.
