Slow Cooker Chili Verde

Slow cooker chili verde. Lean pork with vegetables cooked in slow cooker. Very delicious recipe.Try to cook it!
Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 pound (360 g) boneless lean pork,cubed
  • 15 oz (450 ml) can Great Northern beans.rinsed and drained
  • 14 1/2 oz (435 ml) can chicken broth
  • 1 pound (480 g) fresh tomatillos,husk removed and coarsely chopped
  • 1 large yellow onion,peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 oz (120 g) can diced mild green chilies
  • 6 cloves garlic,peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup (125 g) fresh cilantro,chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper


Cooking Method:

  1. Grease large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Heat greased skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Add cubed pork and brown on all sides.
  4. In a slow cooker,combine browned pork and remaining ingredients,except cilantro.Mix well.
  5. Cover slow cooker and cook on high-heat setting for 3-4 hours.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Stir in fresh cilantro,then reduce heat to low and cook for a further 10 minutes.More slow cooker recipes>>>>>
