Beef Stroganoff

Too cook beef in slow cooker take the following ingredients:
  1. 1lb. round steak
  2. 1 teaspoon shortening
  3. 1/2 cup chopped onions
  4. 1/2 cup chopped celery
  5. 10 3/4-oz. can cream of celery soup
  6. 4-oz. can mushroom pieces,drained
  7. 1 cup sour cream
  8. 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
Cooking method:
Brown meat in shortening in saucepan.Add onions and celery and saute until just tender.Combine all ingredients in slow cooker,cover and cook on Low 6-8 hours.Serve beef Stroganoff over hot cooked noodles.




Scramptious Beef

Makes 4 servings(depending upon amount of beef used) for this beef in slow cooker.
Ingredients:
  1. 1-2 lbs. beef,cut into cubes
  2. 1/2 lb mushrooms,sliced
  3. 10 1/2-oz. can beef broth,or 1 cup water and 1 cube beef bouillon
  4. 1 onion,chopped
  5. 10 3/4-oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  6. 3 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
Cooking method;
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.Cover.Cook on High 3-4 hours,or Low 7-8 hours.Serve cooked beef over hot cooked rice.

Beef Bourguignon

This delicious recipe of cooked beef in slow cooker belongs to French cuisine.Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients:
  1. 3-lb. chuck roast,cut into cubes
  2. 2 tablespoons oil
  3. 2 10 3/4-oz. cans golden cream of mushroom soup
  4. 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  5. 1 cup cooking sherry
Brown meat in oil in skillet.Drain.Place in slow cooker.Add remaining ingredients and cover.Refrigerate 6-8 hours,or up to 14 hours,to marinate.Remove from refrigerator,and cook on Low 8-10hours.Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Beef Burgundy 

 Another recipe of cooked beef in slow cooker,which belongs to fine French cuisine.
Ingredients:
  1. 5 medium onions,thinly sliced
  2. 2 lbs. stewing meat,cut into small cubes
  3. 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
  4. 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms,sliced into medium pieces
  5. 1 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
  7. 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  8. 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  9. 3/4 beef broth
  10. 1 1/2 cups burgundy wine
Cooking method:
Place onion in slow cooker.Dredge meat in flour.Put in slow cooker.Add mushrooms,salt,marjoram,thyme,and pepper.Pour in broth and wine.Cover and cook on Low 8-10 hours.Serve over cooked noodles.
