Ingredients:
2 cups (500 ml) dry red wine
1 cup brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon finely grated orange peel
12 dried figs
4 tablespoons heavy (double) cream (optional).

Cooking Method:
- In a slow cooker,combine all ingredients,except heavy (double) cream.
- Mix well.
- Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 5-6 hours.
- Remove cooked figs from slow cooker and transfer on serving platter.
- Spoon over cooking liquid and serve with heavy cream if desired.
